So after a wonderful transplant day, Henry had a really rough night. Joel and I didn't get much sleep at all, Henry probably got less. With Methadone, Morphine, Ativan, Benedryl, and a repeat of many of those, he still couldn't get comfortable. UGH! Many times the DMSO causes a lot of GI problems, pain and irritation. So tonight we're working on doing both TPN and formula. (Nutrition via IV and formula) On top of all that, he's retaining tons of fluid so his face is horribly swollen, pictures don't quite show the extent of it. This morning after ONE dose of morphine he zonked out at 9:30am and didn't wake up until 2:30pm. Pretty much comatose. :) But he definately got the sleep he needed. Thank Heaven! And Joel and I got a good nap in as well.
Swollen eyes and face.

Because his legs are getting chunkier and so the name band is getting tighter. I love his beautiful hair. So far it hasn't fallen out. The nurses say it takes a few weeks.. I say Henry has already decided he's hangin on to it. :) A year of chemo and still hasn't lost any... we'll see what happens. I'm just so grateful to our friends and family that have included us in their prayers and thoughts..you have truely blessed little Henry with much needed strength and encouragment.
